Welcome to Paint Nite! Kitty Hensley is a local artist  with a background in early childhood education. She believes art is beautiful, fun and therapeutic. Art can add joy to anyone's life! Our philosophy is that even someone who has never painted before can (and should) feel comfortable and welcome. You will always learn from the experience when you paint. The process itself is enjoyable and adds value to your life, regardless of  the level of your expertise. Painting parties add in a social element, making the experience even more memorable! 

The Painting Tree offers paint nite parties at local venues, corporate team building events (see minimums below), and private parties (see minimums below). Sessions typically run 2-2.5 hours. Price ranges from $35-$40 per person, depending on the painting chosen. These sessions are lots of fun for everyone! They are also informative and you will walk away knowing more about painting. And best of all, we use fast drying acrylic paint so you can take home your artwork at the end of the session.

At your location: We are mobile! We can come to you anywhere in the Greater Kansas City Metro area. (For outside of the metro area, a travel charge may apply). Minimum 10 paid spots ($300-$400) to book a party. We can accommodate up to 30 painters, if you have the space for it. Your location is BYOB if you wants drinks or refreshments. You will be given some painting options to choose from for your painting event. Children's Bday paint parties may have a lower price per painter than adults. Please contact me with requests for pricing. 

Corporate events: We can utilize a local venue, or set up within your company's space.  At your location, you provide any refreshments (or BYOB) for members of your party.  When held at a venue, please show appreciation by ordering from the menu. Scheduling available  for daytime, evenings or weekend parties. Painting events are great for team building!  If you have a larger party, more advance notice  needed to schedule extra helpers. Minimum 10 painters/paid spots ($400+). 

We are happy to offer original art for sale, and we accept custom work in addition to painting classes. Paintings, portraits, "dirty pours", custom painted wood signs and more available. 

Q: Don't I need to be artistic or know how to paint?  

A: Nope! Paint nite guides you through a series of steps that are easy to follow along with. Your instructor will teach up front, as well as regularly come around to help you if needed.

Q: What if less than 10 people show up to my party?

A: There is a minimum of 10 paid "seats". As long as the party minimum is paid, you do not have to cancel. These minimums do not apply to public venues such as those I offer via Eventbrite.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: You may reschedule one time with a 48 hour notice. If less than 48 hour notice, or canceled more than once, deposit is forfeited. 

Q: Do I need to make a deposit?

A: Deposit for the 10 minimum seats due at booking. The day before the party, we take a head count and remaining seats are paid. If you have last minute guests to add the day of the party, those spots will be paid at the beginning of class. 

Q: What if each person in my group is paying for themselves?

A: That's fine! One person can collect and send to me, or each person can directly pay for their own seat. The 10 person minimum still applies. The date is not saved until the minimum is met. 

Q: What payment methods do you accept? Cash or Venmo preferred. Credit card payments might be available as well, please ask in advance for availability.  There is a 4% charge for any method that charges me fees to process. 

Q: Is it messy?

A: Art can (and sometimes should be) messy! It is a process. Acrylic paint does NOT come off of fabric, so leave your favorite t-shirt at home, lol.  Disposable aprons are  offered.

Q: What do  I  need to bring?

A: Yourself and good vibes.  All paint supplies are included, and your completed canvas goes home with you!  If at a local venue, please order and show your thanks for use of the location.  If a private party, it's BYOB/food.
